Okay, let’s get a little more personal.

I’ll tell you almost everything you want to know.

Ready for a little story time?

So, here’s the thing…Life has a way of humbling you. And if you let it, it’ll also teach you exactly who you are.

2014 was that year for me. A serious illness knocked me off my feet—literally.

Everything I thought I had figured out? Gone.

My confidence? Shaken.

My body? Betraying me.

My emotions? Doing the absolute most.

I had two choices: Stay down, or figure out how to get back up.

Spoiler: I got up. But not by sheer willpower or overnight breakthroughs. I got up because of faith. I had to unlearn survival mode. I had to rebuild, not just my health, but my mindset, my spirit, my trust in what I couldn’t yet see.

And let me tell you…healing? It’s a messy, nonlinear process. But somewhere in the struggle, I realized something that changed everything: Emotional Intelligence is the key to navigating life, leadership, and the moments that test us the most.

At first, this was about saving myself—learning how to regulate emotions, make sound decisions under pressure, and show up fully even when uncertainty was at its peak. But then I saw how much this work applied to everyone, especially leaders in their respective fields.

High-stakes leadership isn’t just about strategy, it’s about clarity under pressure.

It’s about decision-making when the margin for error is small. It’s about having the emotional capacity to lead when everything is on the line.

And that’s exactly why I do what I do.

Where did that lead me?

✔ I built a career helping leaders, organizations, teams, and professionals navigate the complexities of high-pressure environments.

✔ I work with mission-critical professionals, executives, doctors, public servants, law enforcement, and decision-makers who don’t have the luxury of getting it wrong.

✔ I coach people through the art of resetting, developing the emotional intelligence needed to lead with confidence and precision.

And it all started with that moment back in 2014, sitting in the weight of my reality, realizing that I was being prepared for what’s to come.

So What’s Next? Frankly? The rest is still being written.

But here’s what I know for sure:

I’m here to help people. The kind of people who carry a lot, make tough calls, and need the tools to do it well.

If that’s you? Let’s have a conversation.

I’m a single mom of an adult daughter, and a teenage son. I sometimes pretend to have it all together but mostly admit that they came with no manuals.

“I’M JUST TRYING TO RAISE GOOD HUMANS.”

THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW

YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ME.

I’m obsessed with Tokidoki, Keroppi, all things rainbow and oil slick. I’m not willing to change this.

I think mayonnaise is the worst condiment. Ever.

I can’t parallel park to save my life. Literally.

That’s What They Said.

“Jokes on me! I thought I was good under pressure until I worked with Dr. Johnson. Now, I don’t just react. I feel more clear headed and I am able to lead with control, and confidence, no matter how uncertain the situation. And my God, are there so many of those. I no longer second guess myself. I feel less stressed and I am certainly no longer on the verge of burnout or melt down.”

- Shayne Lopez

"Dr. Vee really helped me look differently at how I approach my transition to college. As a student navigating overwhelming decisions, she helped me improve my emotional intelligence and critical-thinking. I feel more prepared and I’ve seen that I am able to positively influence my peers as well. My future looks very bright!! It’s a bonus that she’s actually pretty cool too."

- Tearra James (Sophmore)

“There is just something about her. It’s really hard to explain unless you’ve been in her presence or worked with her. As a senior executive, the pressure to make the right decisions never stops. Dr. Vee helped me master the mental agility and clarity I need to lead under pressure."

Ways to work together.

  • I work with organizations and agencies to integrate strategic emotional intelligence, leadership development, culture design, and climate repair—so they can make smarter decisions, improve team dynamics, and drive mission-critical outcomes.

  • Who do I coach?

High-stakes professionals, decision-makers, and people who want to lead with clarity under pressure.

The best clients aren’t defined by titles—they’re driven by curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to growth.

The work we do together isn’t just about emotional intelligence, it’s about sharpening how you think, decide, and lead.

Whether you're guiding a team, managing crises, or navigating uncertainty, your ability to regulate emotions and make clear decisions under pressure is what sets you apart.

  • Training isn’t just about information—it’s about transformation.

I design high-impact, immersive learning experiences that challenge the way professionals think, decide, and engage with others.

My expertise spans leadership development, emotional intelligence, youth & young adults, and social-emotional learning (SEL).

Whether working with executives, educators, youth & young adults, or mission-driven teams, my sessions are interactive, strategic, and built for real-world impact.

Yes, I have a catalog of offerings, but no two trainings are the same.

I tailor every session to meet your people where they are and push them toward where they need to be.

  • Speaking is more than words—it's about creating shifts that last.

I use my voice to challenge, inspire, and equip people to navigate complexity, make clear decisions, and lead with emotional intelligence when the stakes are high.

I’ve spoken at keynotes, panels, youth events, community circles, fireside chats, lunch & learns, and podcasts/interviews.

No matter the setting, my goal is always the same—to leave people thinking deeper, feeling more equipped, and ready to move with intention.

  • I see community as the anchoring of collective agency.

Community is where impact starts. It’s where ideas, leadership, and transformation take root.

I work with collectives committed to progress, action, and meaningful change—whether through leadership, advocacy, or human connection.

I feel at home in the church, with Conscious Disrupters, and working alongside youth and young adults—spaces where conversations spark action and create lasting impact.

  • Partnership is a force multiplier. The right collaborations amplify impact, drive innovation, and create lasting change.

I align and work with organizations and brands that prioritize people, foster trust, and commit to doing what’s righteven when it’s hard.
