Okay, let’s get a little more personal.

I’ll tell you almost everything you want to know.

How I Got

Ready for a little story time?

It’s a story of battles, rebirths, and a whole lot of learning. My life's journey has been a rollercoaster and not exactly the fun kind. It’s more like the one that looks okay from the ground but once you get on there’s immense panic, immediate regret and spiraling prayers to return to safety. Yeah. That kind.

Back in 2014, life threw me a curveball - a serious illness that knocked me off my feet. I had to learn to do life again from square one, completely in the dark. But, in that darkness, I found a spark, an ‘aha’ moment, and a deep desire to switch my emotional default to happiness.

So, I planted my feet firmly in my faith and dove headfirst into understanding my thoughts and emotions, like a detective solving the mystery of 'me'. It was a journey of self-discovery. It was life-changing. This path led me to an insatiable hunger for knowledge. I wasn't just collecting degrees and certifications for fun (though I do love learning); I was on a mission to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Social and Emotional Intelligence was the start of it all!

Then came the BIG revelation: how our work environments - the nurturing ones and the toxic ones - impact our mental, physical, and spiritual health. It hit me, there's a huge need for change in the way organizations handle their culture and climate. So, I became the change I wanted to see [thanks Ghandi]. Teaching others about the nuances and differences of workplace culture and climate became my thing. And trust me, I get pretty passionate about this topic. It's a conversation I'm always ready for. I'm locked in, ready to debate and discuss because this, my friends, is the gift that keeps on giving.

The rest is history.

I’m a single mom of a 25 year old daughter, Taylor and a 13 year old son, Noah. I sometimes pretend to have it all together but mostly admit that they came with no manuals.

“I’M JUST TRYING TO RAISE GOOD HUMANS.”

I support Conscious-Disruption. I’ve coined this as “the practice of challenging the status quo while making impactful changes in a way that is reflective, responsible, and attuned to the greater good. It seeks to balance the desire for progress and innovation with a deep responsibility towards societal health”.

It’s not for everyone and that’s okay. Promise.

YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ME.

I can’t parallel park to save my life. Literally.

That’s What They Said.

“Our staff morale was at an all-time low. What she managed to do with them in just a few hours has made a remarkable difference in day to day operations. Well worth the investment. We are going to have her come back for a refresher in the very near future. ”

- McDougall & Co.

“Dr. LaVita helped us learn how to express ourselves to one another and to relate better to our kids. Our house has changed for the better. ”

- Jessinya & Michael

“There is just something about her. It’s really hard to explain unless you’ve been in her presence or worked with her. Vee just radiates good vibes and positive energy. You can’t help but grow from the process. ”
